Non-IBIOLI Lecture: Shoots and Leaves

Celebrating 300 years of Botany in Trinity College Dublin (TCD), the Department of Botany and the Tweedy Lecture series are hosting a lecture, titled ‘Shoots and Leaves: Changes in plants, vegetation and natural habitats of Ireland’. Presented by Dr. Matthew Jebb, Director of the National Botanical Gardens, this lecture forms part of the Botany's tercentenary celebrations, highlighting how the study of plants is of vital importance for the understanding of the process of global climate change and used the changing landscape of Ireland as an example.

Training Activity 1: 27 Years of Biology Today 'as Gaeilge'

The IBIOLI is celebrating 27 Years of Biology Today ‘as Gaeilge’. To celebrate we are running two training sessions that will include lectures and field forays, ‘as Gaeilge’, for about 300 trainee primary teachers will be held in Inis Meáin, Aran Islands. The first of these activities will take place on, on April 20th-21st 2011.
