Celebrating 300 years of Botany in Trinity College Dublin (TCD), the Department of Botany and the Tweedy Lecture series are hosting a lecture, titled ‘Shoots and Leaves: Changes in plants, vegetation and natural habitats of Ireland’. Presented by Dr. Matthew Jebb, Director of the National Botanical Gardens, this lecture forms part of the Botany's tercentenary celebrations, highlighting how the study of plants is of vital importance for the understanding of the process of global climate change and used the changing landscape of Ireland as an example.
