About the Leaving Certificate IBIOLI Gold Medals for Biology Award:

The Institute of Biology of Ireland awards students in the Leaving Certificate Biology examination. These annual awards for excellence in Biology are made to the highest performing students in the current year’s Leaving Certificate examinations.

Each of the awardees is presented with a gold medal and a Certificate in recognition of their excellent achievements. In addition, the teacher of Biology of each of the students received a Certificate of Commendation.

This is always a lovely occasion that offers a real celebration of all the work that the students, their families, teachers and schools put into attaining such high standards in biology.

This activity is just one of the many engaged in by the Institute (see www.ibioli.net) to disseminate and encourage interest in Biology at all levels in Ireland.
